soap:ServerServer was unable to process request. ---> Value does not fall within the expected range.

When you try opening a file in SharePoint 2010 Designer and see the following error
"soap:ServerServer was unable to process request. ---> Value does not fall within the expected range."

The fix is simple. Check your URL. Most probably when you are opening a site, either you are using http://localhost or http://ip-address. I recommend you change the site url to http://device-id.

This should fix your problem.
